CoachPartner relies on AI and can make mistakes: check the quoted passages. This reading is descriptive: it does not measure a level and does not prejudge an ICF certification.

Priority
C5 — Maintains presence. C5 is the entry point of the "who" axis: at 00:15:26, when Camille says "it makes me question who I am as a person", Marie answers with an action-oriented question ("How would you go about accepting it or letting go") instead of staying with the person.
What you receive

A developmental reading—not an automated grade

ICF framework

Observations are organised through the 8 ICF Core Competencies and the observable behaviours relevant to the session.

Traceable evidence

Each important observation points back to the words, excerpts and moments that ground it.

Practice focus

CoachPartner helps surface one precise focus to explore in your next sessions.

Mentor coaching preparation

You arrive in mentor coaching with clearer evidence, observations and questions.

Anonymised example

An evidence-based example

Every observation follows the same chain, from the conversation to your reflection:

Session excerpt → Observed behaviour → Related competency → Reflection question

  1. Session excerpt18:42–19:07

"You say you feel both relieved and unsettled. What feels most important to explore first?"

  2. Observed behaviourObserved

The coach picks up the client's own words and leaves the choice of which direction to explore to her.

  3. Related competencyICF framework

C6 — Listens actively: considers the client's context, identity, environment, values and beliefs to deepen understanding.

  4. Reflection questionFor you

What allowed you, at that moment, to leave the choice to the client? Are there other moments in the session where you steered the exploration for her?

How the analysis works

How the analysis works

  1. Upload the audio of your coaching session.

  2. CoachPartner transcribes the conversation.

  3. The session is examined through observable behaviours and the ICF framework.

  4. Review the evidence and choose a deliberate-practice focus.

CoachPartner and a generic AI

Why not simply use a generic AI prompt?

A well-guided general-purpose assistant already produces a useful analysis of your session. The difference lies in the workflow and the structure, not in a superiority we could not demonstrate.

  • A consistent observation framework from one session to the next

The same observable behaviours and the same framework structure every reading, which makes your sessions comparable with each other.

  • Observations tied to the original excerpts

Each important observation quotes the passage and the moment that ground it, so you can go back to it.

  • A workflow designed for the coach's progression

Transcription, reading, practice focus and a report kept in your space: a chain built for deliberate practice, not for a one-off answer.

  • Continuity from one session to the next

Your reports stay in your history: you can return to a session and follow the focus you chose, with no promise that two readings will be identical.

  • Explicit limitations

CoachPartner makes its limitations explicit and reminds you that it can be wrong.

  • Observations you can verify and contest

You compare each observation with the quoted excerpt and remain free to retain, nuance or challenge it.

  • Preparation for human mentor coaching

The report is structured for your next mentoring session, where interpretation stays human.

Limitations, trust and human judgment

What CoachPartner does, and does not do

CoachPartner provides an AI-assisted developmental reading. AI can make mistakes, so coaches should verify the quoted evidence and retain their professional judgment. CoachPartner does not provide certification, predict credentialing outcomes or replace human mentor coaching or an official ICF performance evaluation.

CoachPartner is an independent learning tool. References to the ICF core competencies describe the development framework used by the product and do not imply endorsement, accreditation or official evaluation by the International Coaching Federation.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about session analysis

What is an AI-assisted ICF coaching session analysis?

It is a descriptive reading of your session, produced from its transcript: the coach's observable behaviours are identified, connected to the ICF competencies and to the excerpts that ground them. It serves your reflection and deliberate practice, not a grade.

Which ICF competencies are considered?

The 8 ICF Core Competencies: demonstrates ethical practice, embodies a coaching mindset, establishes and maintains agreements, cultivates trust and safety, maintains presence, listens actively, evokes awareness, facilitates client growth. Observations are read against the grid you choose, ACC or PCC. A single session does not always allow every competency to be observed reliably.

Is CoachPartner an official ICF evaluation?

No. CoachPartner is an independent tool, neither affiliated with nor endorsed by the ICF. Its reading is developmental: it delivers no grade, no certification and no official performance evaluation.

Can CoachPartner tell me whether I will pass ACC or PCC?

No. CoachPartner does not predict credentialing outcomes. It shows you what is observable in the session and helps you choose a practice focus; assessing your level is the role of your mentor coach and of ICF assessors.

How is CoachPartner different from a generic AI prompt?

A generic prompt can produce a useful analysis. CoachPartner adds a workflow: audio transcription, a consistent observation framework from one session to the next, observations tied to excerpts, explicit limitations and a report kept in your space to prepare mentor coaching.

Does CoachPartner replace mentor coaching?

No. CoachPartner prepares human mentor coaching: you arrive with clearer excerpts, observations and questions. Interpretation and decisions stay with the coach and their mentor.

Which session formats can I upload?

An audio file in a common format (MP3, M4A, WAV, FLAC, OGG or WEBM), or a written transcript pasted directly. The current duration and size limits are listed in the FAQ.

How is confidential session data protected?

The audio file is deleted after transcription. The transcript and the report are stored encrypted in your space, and you can delete a session at any time. Transcription and analysis rely on Deepgram and Anthropic under data processing agreements; your data is not used to train AI models. We recommend anonymising your client and obtaining their consent before any upload.
